Raised in Montreal Quebec, arguably Canada’s fashion capital, Karen Connon has always been a true lover of real fashion. From Haute Couture creations found in the boutiques along Montreal’s Saint Catherine’s Street to bargains found on Rue Saint Denis, Karen soaked it all in.

Her fashion fuelled treasure hunts left her with a fearless appreciation for fashion experimentation and an understanding that clothing represents a challenging and groovy medium for self expression. These early lessons serve as influence and as an inspiration for much of her work today:

It wasn’t until she had several other careers behind her that Karen decided that the time was right for her to pair her professional energy with her personal passion: It was time to check out Fashion Design school! It turns out, she had a knack for it and she loves it! My New Dress is the fabulously fashionable result.
